Village Design Statement

I am pleased to have the opportunity to write this introduction to the Village Design Statement. This document is based on the Parish Plan and translates the thoughts, views and ideas we all have expressed in the formation of the plan, into proposals which can influence planning decisions. The Statement has to be taken into consideration by the Parish Council, the City Council and the County Council when developers and others submit their plans for any developments within our Parish. To re-state what I said when commenting on the Parish Plan, the most important feature about these two documents is that they represent a wide selection of people's opinions on how we wish the Parish be preserved or grow.

Finally, I wish to take this opportunity to thank John Stelfox and the team for all their hard work in compiling the Statement, the value of which will only become more apparent in years to come.
