Parish Plan
What is a Parish Plan?
A Parish Plan sets out what people value most in their community and what they would like to change in the future. A plan is carried out by local people and usually involves a survey, public meetings and a report. A plan culimates in an Action Plan which identifies what needs to be done by whom over the next ten years.
The aim of Slyne with Hest Parish Plan published in January 2006 was;
“To embark upon a listening process in order to discover what aspects of the natural environment people wish to preserve, and the future direction of physical and social development in the parish.
To prioritise and take action on local issues and to generate new ideas, projects and funding.”
